Additional services may be performed as mutually agreed upon by the accompanist, the Chorale’s President, Executive Committee or Artistic Committee. Additional duties include leading sectional rehearsals, providing piano accompaniment for auditions of new and/or existing Chorale members, and providing assistance in the selection and review of other instrumentalists who may perform with the Chorale at its public performances and concerts, in cooperation with the Chorale’s Music Director and its Artistic Committee. The ideal candidate will provide piano accompaniment at weekly or more frequent rehearsals of the Chorale, including sectionals and full Chorale rehearsals as well as piano or other keyboard accompaniment for the Chorale at its public performances and concerts. The Edina Chorale is a 32 year-old, 90-member auditioned SATB community chorus based in suburban Minneapolis/St. Barnabas Church in Dulwich and the Dulwich Children's Choir.The Edina Chorale is seeking an accompanist with prior experience accompanying choral ensembles. Hugh is the Organ Fellow at Hailbury School as well as the Assistant Director of Music at both St. Hugh also takes a keen interest in new music he has worked with artists like Clare Elton, Lizzy Laurence and the London Contemporary Orchestra at London’s Union Chapel, the Icelandic duo Jònsi and Alex, with the LCO, at London’s Barbican Centre and the Paris Philharmonie. He has performed recitals in Southwark Cathedral, St Albans Cathedral, and a number of college chapels in Cambridge and Oxford. While at the Royal Hospital, Hugh worked with the Chapel Choir in the Wren Chapel and at the Cadogan Hall, and appears as an artist on three album that they recorded 'A Vaughan Williams Christmas', 'Earth and Sky - Vaughan Williams Choral Premieres' (Albion) and 'In Remembrance' (SOMM). Hugh was also the organ scholar for King's Voices, the mixed voice choir at King's College, Cambridge. During his time at Cambridge he performed on many recording projects and tours with the Sidney Sussex Choir, travelling to the United States, Singapore and Malaysia amongst other destinations. In 2021 he became a Fellow of the Royal College of Organists, recognised internationally as the most prestigious qualification for organists in the world. In 2020 Hugh won the Royal College of Organists Limpus Prize, Frederick Shinn Prize and Durrant Prize, the Sowerbutts Prize and Durrant Prize, the Dr F. in 2018 he won an Organ Scholarship at Sidney Sussex College, Cambridge where he studied Music and in his gap year, he was the organ scholar at The Royal Hospital in Chelsea. Accompanied choral groups, vocal ensembles, soloists, dance groups, etc., as assigned - may involve night and weekend performances, assignments. Hugh is an organist of unparalleled excellence He began his musical career as a chorister at Westminster Abbey where he appeared on a number of CDs and sang at many special services, most notably the Royal Wedding in 2011. Played piano and/or other specified instrument and assists with other forms of accompaniment for school-related concerts, programs, and other activities.
